2. Scope

This Policy applies to users of RunDhk's services anywhere in the world, including users of RunDhk's applications, websites, features, or other services.

This Policy describes how RunDhk and its affiliates collect and use personal data to provide our services. This Policy specifically applies to:

  • Riders: Users who request or receive transportation or delivery services.

  • Drivers: Users who provide transportation or delivery services independently or through partner transport organizations.

This policy also applies to those who provide information to RunDhk in connection with an application to use our services, or whose data RunDhk otherwise receives in connection with its services.

The practices described in this policy are subject to applicable laws in the places in which we operate. This means that we only engage in the practices described in this policy in a particular country or region if permitted under the laws of those places. 3. Data Controller

RunDhk collects:

  • Data you provide to RunDhk, such as when you create your RunDhk account.

  • Data created when you use our services, such as location, usage, and device data.

  • Data from other sources, such as RunDhk partners and third parties that use RunDhk APIs.

The following data is collected by or on behalf of RunDhk:

4.1. Information You Provide

This may include:

  • User Profile: We collect data when you create or update your RunDhk account. This may include your name, email address, phone number, login name and password, address, payment or banking information (including related payment verification data), and government-issued identification numbers (such as driver's license or passport if required by law), date of birth, photograph, and signature. This also includes driver vehicle or insurance information, as well as the preferences and settings you enable for your RunDhk account.

  • Background Check Information: We may collect background check information if you sign up to use RunDhk's services as a driver or delivery partner. This may include information such as your driving history or criminal record (where permitted by law). This information may be collected by a vendor on RunDhk's behalf.

  • User Content: We may collect data you submit when you contact RunDhk customer support, provide ratings or feedback for other users, or otherwise contact RunDhk.

4.2. Information Created When You Use Our Services

This may include:

  • Location Information: Depending on the RunDhk services you use and your app settings or device permissions, we may collect your precise or approximate location data as determined through data such as GPS, IP address, and Wi-Fi.

    • If you are a driver, RunDhk collects location data when the RunDhk app is running in the foreground (app open and on-screen) or background (app open but not on-screen) of your device.

    • Riders can use the RunDhk app without allowing RunDhk to collect their location data. However, this may affect the functionality available. For example, if you do not permit RunDhk to collect your location data, you will need to enter your pickup address manually. Location data will still be collected from the driver during your trip and linked to your account.

  • Transaction Information: We collect transaction details related to your use of our services, including the type of services you requested or provided, your order details, delivery information, date and time the service was provided, amount charged, distance traveled, and payment method. Additionally, if someone uses your promotion code, we may associate your name with that person.

  • Usage Information: We collect data about how you interact with our services. This includes data such as access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, browser type, and third-party sites or services you were using before interacting with our services.

  • Communications Data: We enable users to communicate with each other and RunDhk through the RunDhk apps, websites, and other services. For example, we enable drivers and riders to call one another (in some countries, without revealing their phone numbers). To provide this service, RunDhk receives some data regarding the calls or texts, including the date and time of the communication and the content of the communications. RunDhk may also use this data for customer support services (including to resolve disputes between users), for safety and security purposes, to improve our products and services, and for analytics.

4.3. Information From Other Sources

This may include:

  • User feedback, such as ratings or compliments.

  • Users providing your information in connection with referral programs.

  • Users requesting services for you or on your behalf.

  • Users or others providing information in connection with claims or disputes.

  • RunDhk business partners through which you create or access your RunDhk account, such as payment providers, social media services, or apps or websites that use RunDhk's APIs or whose APIs RunDhk uses (e.g., when you order a ride via Google Maps).

  • Insurance providers (if you are a driver or delivery partner).

  • Financial services providers (if you are a driver or delivery partner).

  • Partner transport companies (if you are a driver who uses our services through an account associated with such a company).

  • The owner of a RunDhk for Business profile that you use.

  • Publicly available sources.

  • Marketing service providers.

RunDhk may combine the data collected from these sources with other data in its possession.

5. How We Use Your Data

RunDhk collects and uses data to enable reliable and convenient transportation, delivery, and other products and services. We also use the data we collect:

  • To enhance the safety and security of our users and services

  • For customer support

  • For research and development

  • To enable communications to or between users

  • To provide promotions or contests

  • In connection with legal proceedings

RunDhk does not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

RunDhk uses the data it collects for purposes including:

5.1. Providing Services and Features

RunDhk uses the data we collect to provide, personalize, maintain, and improve our products and services. This includes using the data to:

  • Create and update your account.

  • Verify your identity.

  • Process or facilitate payments for those services.

  • Offer, obtain, provide, or facilitate insurance or financing policies in connection with our services.

  • Track the progress of your ride or delivery.

  • Enable features that allow you to share information with other people, such as when you submit feedback about a driver, refer a friend to RunDhk, split fares, or share your ETA.

  • Enable features to personalize your RunDhk account, such as creating bookmarks for your favorite places, and to enable quick access to previous destinations.

  • Enable accessibility features that make it easier for users with disabilities to use our services.

  • Perform internal operations necessary to provide our services, including troubleshooting software bugs and operational problems, conducting data analysis, testing, and research, and monitoring and analyzing usage and activity trends.

5.2. Legal Basis for Processing

We only collect and use personal data where we have a lawful basis to do so. These include:

  • Contractual Necessity: Processing data that is necessary to provide the services you request, such as using your location to provide a ride or your payment details to process a fare.

  • Legitimate Interests: Processing data for our legitimate interests, such as for preventing fraud, ensuring safety and security, providing customer support, or for research and development.

  • Consent: We may ask for your consent to process data for a specific purpose, such as for certain marketing communications.

  • Legal Obligation: Processing data where we have a legal obligation to do so, such as for responding to requests from law enforcement.

RunDhk may share the data we collect:

  • With other users: For example, we share a Rider's name and pickup location with a Driver. We may share a Driver's name, photo, and vehicle information with a Rider.

  • With RunDhk's service providers and partners: We share data with third parties that provide services on our behalf, such as payment processors, cloud storage providers, data analytics providers, and marketing partners.

  • For legal reasons or in a dispute: We may share your data if we believe it is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RunDhk, our users, or the public.

  • With your consent: We may share your data other than as described in this policy if we notify you and you consent to the sharing.

  • In connection with a merger or sale: We may share your data in connection with a merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

RunDhk retains your personal data for as long as you maintain your RunDhk account.

We may retain certain data after account closure if necessary, such as to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our Terms. Once data is no longer necessary for these purposes, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

You may request the deletion of your account at any time through the settings in the RunDhk app or by contacting us.

8. Cookies and Third-Party Technologies

RunDhk and its partners use cookies and other identification technologies on our applications, websites, emails, and online advertisements for purposes described in this policy.

Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device by websites, apps, online media, and advertisements. RunDhk uses cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:

  • Authenticating users

  • Remembering user preferences and settings

  • Determining the popularity of content

  • Delivering and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns

  • Analyzing site traffic and trends, and generally understanding the online behaviors and interests of people who interact with our services

We may also allow others to provide audience measurement and analytics services for us, to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet, and to track and report on the performance of those advertisements. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and other technologies to identify your device when you visit our site and use our services, as well as when you visit other online sites and services.

9. Choice and Transparency

RunDhk provides you with the ability to see and control the data that RunDhk collects, including through:

  • In-app privacy settings

  • Device permissions

  • In-app ratings pages

  • Marketing opt-outs

You can also ask RunDhk to provide you with an explanation of the data we collect, copies of your data, or correction of any inaccurate data.

9.1. Privacy Settings

The Privacy Settings menu in the RunDhk Rider app enables users to set or update their location and contacts sharing preferences, and their preferences for receiving mobile notifications from RunDhk.

  • Location Information: You can enable/disable or adjust RunDhk's collection of rider location data at any time through the Privacy Settings menu or via your mobile device's settings. If you disable the device location services, your use of the RunDhk app will be affected (e.g., you must enter pickup/drop-off locations manually).

  • Notifications: Account and Trip Updates: RunDhk provides users with order status notifications and updates related to your account. These notifications are a necessary part of using the RunDhk app and cannot be disabled. However, you can choose the method by which you receive them via the Privacy Settings menu.

  • Notifications: Discounts and News: You can enable RunDhk to send you push notifications about discounts and news. You can enable/disable these notifications at any time through the Privacy Settings menu.

9.2. Device Permissions

Most mobile platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) have defined certain types of device data that apps cannot access without your consent. These platforms have different permission systems for obtaining your consent.

  • The iOS platform will alert you the first time the RunDhk app requests permission to access certain types of data and will let you consent (or not consent) to that request.

  • Android devices will notify you of the permissions the RunDhk app seeks before you first use the app, and your use of the app constitutes your consent.

10. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you of the changes through the RunDhk apps or through other means, such as email. To the extent permitted under applicable law, by using our services after such notice, you consent to our updates to this policy.

We encourage you to periodically review this policy for the latest information on our privacy practices. We will also make prior versions of our privacy policies available for review.
